There is not much flotsam washed up in the beaches around Encounter Bay in Victor Harbor. This was further west:
It was at the foot of the cliffs near Kings Beach.
Photographing in low light again in order to represent the colour of the rocks that is present in certain conditions.
These conditions are normally seen during dusk -what photographers often call the magic hour.

It is a large format version of the 6x6 one in this earlier post. I was thinking more in terms of abstractions and modernism than just rock studies and snap shots. I was starting to reconnect with the art history past. A retro Australian modernism as it were, which referred back to the rock studies made by John Cato in the 1970s.
Cato's abstractions developed the vocabulary of his own inner landscape and can be seen as expressions of his subconscious. I have no interest in this kind of transcendent photography that links back to Kandinsky.

This was made from the breakwater created to protect for the new all weather boat ramp near Whalers Resort at Encounter Bay, Victor Harbor. The boat lobby--recreational fishermen--- is quite powerful.
