We had a morning of gentle winter sunlight amidst all the winter rains. It didn't last as it started raining now latter in the day. It is also very cold. More winter storms are expected.
From a late afternoon poodle walk on Goolwa Beach, the Fleurieu Peninsula, early June, the first month of winter:
Goolwa Beach is near the mouth of the River Murray.
None of these patterns are around on the beaches around Rosetta Head, where we live. Nor do we get the late afternoon winter light on the sandy beaches .

Snapped on an early morning poodle walk with Ari and Kayla along Deps Beach. This coastal beach is west of Victor Harbor on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
It is late autumn light about 10 minutes after sunrise.
This was made on a poodle walk on the Sunday morning before I left for the road trip on the Mallee Highway.
It is part of the rocks just west of Petrel Cover near Rosetta Head.
